Bangkok Pride Forum 2025: Born This Way

Bangkok Pride Forum 2025 returns for its second consecutive year under the theme "Born This Way", reaffirming that diversity is neither something to be explained nor justified, but rather an inherent part of humanity—worthy of acceptance, celebration, and equal participation across all dimensions of society.

Thailand has emerged as one of Asia’s most progressive nations in advancing LGBTQIAN+ rights, having passed the marriage equality law. In a global context where some regions, particularly parts of the Western world, are experiencing a conservative backlash against the ideals of equality, Thailand has made a clear statement: diversity is a driving force for economic growth, innovation, and sustainable social development.

Bangkok Pride Forum 2025 is structured around six main pillars:

• Economic and Business

• Well-being and Medical

• Technology

• Environmental

• Human Rights

• Education

The forum focuses on integrating diversity into national and regional economic structures, public policy frameworks, and sustainable development strategies.

A key emphasis is placed on promoting the Pink Economy and Inclusive Business, recognizing that diversity is not merely a marketing strategy but a powerful social and economic asset. Simultaneously, the forum champions the use of Soft Power through creative industries such as entertainment, fashion, and tourism, to elevate Thailand’s global presence.

On the topic of Human Rights, the forum calls for strengthening mechanisms for comprehensive rights protection, eliminating all forms of discrimination, and advancing issues such as bodily autonomy and freedom of identity expression.

Education is recognized as a foundational mechanism for long-term societal change. The forum will present pathways for curriculum reform, innovative learning systems, and inclusive research environments that truly embrace diversity.

Well-being and Medical is another key focus area, emphasizing equal access to healthcare services. It highlights the advancement of medical technologies such as gender-affirming hormone therapies, gender confirmation surgeries, and mental health services tailored to LGBTQIAN+ needs.

Meanwhile, Technology is presented as a new frontier for fostering safety, empowering identities, and strengthening human rights in the digital era.

Under the theme "Born This Way", Bangkok Pride Forum 2025 is not only a celebration of identity but a call to lay the foundation for a new society that believes:

"Diversity is the heart of the future,"

and stands firm in the conviction that:

"We were born this way—to change the world together."
